The Benefits of Regular Family Meetings

Our guide shows how scheduled, thoughtfully executed family meetings can help achieve family goals.
A father and his young child walk hand in hand on a wooden dock extending into a calm lake, surrounded by lush green mountains. Both are wearing matching plaid shirts and khaki-colored pants. The cloudy sky casts a soft, diffused light over the serene landscape

Families have many ways to shape how the next generation learns by what means affluence can empower them to make their own contribution to the family and to society as a whole. This learning process includes lessons on the responsibilities of wealth and philanthropy. It often takes place informally and over several years but will happen most effectively during regularly scheduled family meetings. Done properly, and guided by the family’s values, these meetings can inform as well as inspire and can be supported by the family’s trusted advisors. Learn more in our Family Meetings Guide.
